Author: R. Lee Ingalls, Brett Cullum
This is the book I intended to write first. It is the story of my life, from my earliest memories to 2005. I don’t think my story is so different from most men of my generation, but it is the story of the average person’s life in the working class with one exception, I am gay. My life began with the belief I was the only person in the world like me to the discovery of an entire community of people like me, and the adventures that ensued. I am honored to be able to bring to you the stories and all the amazing people I have had the good fortune to share parts of my life with. R. Lee Ingalls is part of the famous family Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote about in her series of beloved books. Lee describes himself as a storyteller rather than an author. Laura’s books told the stories of two generations of the Ingalls family, and her daughter Rose Wilder told the stories of a third generation. Lee’s first work told the story of the early years of his parents and added a fourth generation of stories. This work is telling the story of a fifth generation of the family.
