 Notes
Los Angeles, California based rapper Phalos Mode started out as one
half of duo Himalayaz along with Bambino. They made their debut in
1999 with the 12-inch "Playa Wayz", which was followed by the 2000
single "Live About It", produced by DK All Day and featuring Kurupt
& Roscoe - which was the lead single to the Himalayaz debut album
"Partners N Rhyme" that came out the same year. A sophomore album,
"Take Notes", followed in 2001, spotting collaborations with the
likes of Ice-T and Spice 1.
In 2002, Phalos Mode embarked a solo career and released the album
"Phalosangeles" independently through Ha-Ha Entertainment. Producer
Rhythm D was enlisted for the project (Eazy-E, MC Ren, C-Bo) and two
singles was released off it - "Smoking Out" and this one, "Cali Hit"
b/w "Pimp Harder" featuring Gangsta (of The Comrads and 1st
Generation). Both tracks produced by Rhythm D.
