     Del Amitri's easy blend of Beatlesque pop and country-rock has made them a
     worldwide road and radio staple since the mid-80's. Formed in Scotland in
     1982 by bassist/vocalist/songwriter Justin Currie and longtime guitarist
     and collaborator Ian Harvie, the duo released "Sense Sickness" on a small
     Glasgow indie label the following year. Through heavy touring and positive
     word of mouth, the band - which now included drummer Paul Tyagi and guitar
     player Bryan Tolland - managed to impress the suits at Chrysalis Records
     enough to offer the fledgling group a recording contract.
     Del Amitri now release "Fatal Mistakes", their seventh studio album and
     first since 2002, on Cooking Vinyl produced by Dan Austin. It was recorded
     pretty much live in three weeks and it's the brilliant sound of a
     35-years-young band settling into what they do best: melodic rock songs
     with lyrical bite, soulful comfort and heart-swelling uplift. Emerged to
     early critical acclaim, "Fatal Mistakes" is led by the singles "You Can't
     Go Back", "It's Feelings" and "Close Your Eyes And Think Of England".
