“We, the citizens of Los Sueños, are stuck in a living nightmare. I’d say we need to open our eyes, but the gunshots that echo through our streets year over year make it impossible to even sleep.

CONSTANT mass shootings, bombings, robberies, roving gangs, cartels, human trafficking, terror attacks.

Is SWAT going to show up?

Maybe.

How many more times?

What is being done to actually prevent this? Last night our one charity event to address this crisis was a terror target, now all we have from it are photos of massacre, putrid skin bubbling on victims and survivors.

We try to deal with droughts that kill our ability to feed our communities. Drugs that devastate our families. Collapsing banking systems. Criminal organizations who fester on the corruption. The federal government can barely even help us.

It almost seems like they want us to fall apart

We tried. We gave the LSPD and this whole s**tshow a shot. What are we doing as the blood of every innocent person who dies on our streets boils in the cracks?
